RETURN AND REFUND POLICY

Thank you for shopping with ModMotive (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through our website, modmotive-4.myshopify.com.

By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms below.


1. Return window

We accept returns on most new, unused items within 28 days from the date your order is delivered.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, uninstalled, and in its original packaging (where applicable).

Certain items are not eligible for return (see “Non‑returnable items” below).


2. Return eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number, receipt, or email confirmation).

  • The item must be free of signs of installation or use (for example, no tool marks, scratches, or wiring modifications).

  • All accessories, hardware, and included parts must be returned.

We reserve the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


3. Non‑returnable items

The following items are generally non‑returnable:

  • Electrical or electronic components (such as sensors, wiring, modules) once opened

  • Items marked as “final sale” or “non‑returnable” on the product page

  • Gift cards

  • Customized or special‑order items

If you are unsure whether a product is returnable, please contact us before purchasing or before opening the item.


4. Start a return

Include your order number, the item you want to return, and the reason for the return.
If your return is accepted, we will provide instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return may not be accepted.


5. Return shipping costs

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.

  • Original shipping charges (if any) are non‑refundable.

If the return is due to our error (wrong item sent, defective item, etc.), we will work with you to provide a prepaid label or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs, at our discretion.


6. Inspection and approval

Once we receive your return, we will inspect the item and notify you if the return is approved or rejected.

Returns may be rejected or only partially refunded if:

  • The item shows signs of use or installation

  • Parts, accessories, or packaging are missing

  • The item is damaged due to improper handling or installation


7. Refunds

If your return is approved, we will process a refund to your original payment method.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your account, depending on your bank or card issuer.

  • We do not refund original shipping charges (if any), unless the return is due to our error.

If you have not received a refund after the stated timeframe, please check with your bank or card issuer first, then contact us.


8. Exchanges

We do not offer automatic exchanges.
If you want a different item, size, or variant, please request a return for a refund (if eligible) and place a new order for the replacement item.


9. Damaged or incorrect items

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if:

  • An item is damaged

  • You receive the wrong item

  • An item is missing

10. Fitment responsibility

We provide product descriptions and fitment information where possible, but it is your responsibility to confirm that a part fits your specific vehicle before ordering.

We are not responsible for returns or costs resulting from ordering incorrect parts due to vehicle mismatch, unless the product description on our site was clearly inaccurate.


11. Chargebacks and disputes

If you have any issues with your order, please contact us first so we can attempt to resolve it.
Filing a chargeback with your bank or payment provider without contacting us may delay or complicate the resolution process.
